Crazy about Century!

Inspiration Images, Interior Design

If you’re scared of designing with color– I’ll save you some time …. stop reading now. The bold, beautiful colors in the Century Highpoint showroom were show-stoppingly AMAZING! Lots of rich jewel tones mixed with basic whites and neutrals. It presented such a great look mixed with classic design elements and classic lines. Our favorite look (and heading to our showroom, of course) were the rich aqua blues and emerald greens that are such a staple in our area.

The best day of our lives! I became Mrs. Cannon, and couldn’t be happier to share this crazy thing called life with my new husband! Our wedding was everything we envisioned, and we had an amazing team to make it all happen!  We didn’t let a little Tropical Storm Nate ruin our fun! Enjoy these beautiful pics courtesy of Dear Wesleyann! There are so many beautiful ones, I had a hard time choosing which to share!

Latest and Grayt-est in Grayton Beach

Interior Design

When the job site views from my latest project in Grayton Beach look like this, you know it’s going to be a good one! I’m excited to be working on this Geoff Chick-designed home with Susan and Brooke.

We’ve started with the best part– TILE! Lots of natural tiles with glass elements and a soft coastal color palette! Can’t wait to see this end product– it’s going to be a beauty!

Seagrove Beach Show-stopper

Interior Design

When your client says “I want color”, you give them COLOR! Karen Kerns and I recently completed this third floor condo for some fabulous owners at The Viridian in Santa Rosa Beach. With expansive balconies facing the gorgeous gulf and walls of windows, we wanted to amplify the space with a color palette that reflects the calming blue-greens of the gulf waters to the bold red-oranges of our Emerald Coast sunsets. We used Lee Industries upholstery in Sunbrella fabrics for durability,  Henredon leather, Old Biscayne pop-up TV console, Vanguard dining table, and a show-stopping Viz Glass light fixture.  The end result was a condo that the owners can’t help but invite friends over for a glass of wine to enjoy the sunset!

Bold Bedroom

Interior Design

Draperies make all the difference! I’ve been working on a house in Watercolor these past few weeks to create a bold and beautiful master bedroom with pops of navy and neutrals.  Loving this bed from Lee Industries, hide bench from Universal, nightstands from Bungalow5, and lamp from Arteriors. Lots more to come from this stunning renovation– just wait til you see the before pics!

I love a good before-and-after just as much the next person, but THIS ONE takes the cake! It was a labor of love, and still isn’t QUITE finished yet, but I couldn’t resist showing it off! Karen Kerns and I worked with the homeowner and contractor from the beginning to select all interior and exterior finishes, fixtures, paint, lighting, furniture, art, and accessories. Sure makes the project easy when you have a wonderful client and a great contractor! Thanks to everyone involved in making it a fun one! Stay tuned for more progress!

It’s Closing Day!

Interior Design, My New House

I never post much personal info on my blog, but today is bittersweet! My first home that I built from the ground up is closing! (Insert sad face, here). It’s been such a great home with so many memories. I hope the next owners love it as much as I did! It was such a fun design project as I got to pick all the finishes and started from scratch on furniture. Here are some of my favorite pictures; before, during, and afters!

Now for the AFTERS! It’s always more fun when it’s yours to decorate and make your own!

Watercolor Before and After

Interior Design, Things I like

Here are some images of a job I recently completed in Watercolor. Its open floor plan living and dining area needed a fresh, coastal-casual look without the outdated striped couches and wicker furniture. We wanted to achieve this by changing out some main upholstery pieces while keeping other basic casegoods. And great news! You can rent this home for your next 30A vacation! Check out the link today!
