My latest design projects have been focused on furnishing two new construction properties with investors that are currently for sale. In our vacation destination, people tend to want a turn-key, ready-to-rent beach home rather than deal with furnishing and piecing together many times from out of state. Our job is to create a space where people can see themselves living in a style that appeals to the majority. Furnishings are quality pieces that will hold up to a rental market with solid wood pieces, pre-treated fabrics, and washable bedding. Often times it is difficult for someone to walk into a huge open living space and envision how to make it feel like home. Staging helps accomplish this from an inviting living area to a fully set dining table. Check out these before and after shots to show the difference staging makes in selling a property.

Grayton Western Lake Design-to-Reality

Interior Design

This Geoff Chick-designed home was a showstopper completed with the help of Lovelace design team, Susan Lovelace, Brooke Williams and myself. The clients wanted a comfortable, livable space that could be utilized by their extended family for vacation and work down-time. We started this project shortly after the blueprint phase, meaning that we were able to select lighting, tile, window treatments, and paint colors to ensure the complete flow of the home. We assisted with design elements such as fireplace detail, custom-built dining banquette, and custom bunk bed design. Here are some of our favorite rooms and how they became reality … ENJOY!

An Outdoor Oasis

Interior Design

In our coastal climate, outdoor living is a MUST! This Geoff Chick-designed home is perched among the trees on Alligator lake in Grayton Beach.  It’s a gorgeous home with no design detail overlooked. One of my favorite aspects of the home is the variety and functionality of outdoor living space from pool front chaises to an inviting second floor porch swing bed that offers expansive views towards the Gulf of Mexico. The screened-in outdoor dining space is right off the kitchen for easy serving access, and the second floor living space offers a private oasis off the master bedroom.  If you like the outdoor living space, just wait til you see the inside!

I am SO honored and excited to have one of my favorite projects-to-date featured in the latest VIE Magazine. Click here to read the article!   http://viemagazine.com/article/lovelace-interiors/

Talk about a labor of LOVE! This GORGEOUS vacation home was a collaboration between Susan Lovelace, Brooke Williams and myself. We worked tirelessly for 2+ years through the blueprint and architectural stage, right down to staging with art and accessories.

The very traditional Watersound gulf-front exterior gives way to a much more contemporary interior with exaggerated coastal hues of bright blues and greens. The entry and foyer are a main focal point with stunning art, statement accent chairs, and a custom light fixture that stretches the expanse of the 3 floor stairwell.

Each bedroom plays off this color palette with custom bedding and upholstery.

One of my favorite design elements about this house is the use of 2 living rooms– one on each floor. The downstairs is much more casual and serves the purpose of a game/media room. The upstairs open living/dining/kitchen is more for entertaining.

The kitchen and dining rooms are equally as beautiful and serve as a netural backdrop to the expansive second floor views of the water.

And perhaps the COOLEST focal points in the whole house are the coffee bar and downstairs wet bar tile details.

And who wouldn’t want to have a glass of wine on this patio overlooking the reflecting pool or enjoy this view from the tower deck!?

Coastal Sunset Hues

Interior Design

I think this will definitely have be my next color-story inspiration for a design job. I took this picture at sunset yesterday while taking family photos of the sweetest friends in town from New York. Those soft lavender blues, lush greens, and soothing coral/oranges mixed with our sugar white sand are just PERFECT! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
