RE-blogged: Red Carpet Style for your home

I came across this great blog about the correlation of fashion and interiors (Hint:they are more alike than you think!) Enjoy!

Cool blog for reference, too!

In light of last night’s Academy Awards, we (like everyone else) were taken by the gorgeous fashions that graced the red carpet. We’ve noticed a number of fashions trends that are not just limited to clothing, but also noticeable in the home furnishing industry! We’ve highlighted some of our favorite looks and ways to bring some red carpet style into your home!

Lupita Nyong’o stole the show in a custom Calvin Klein Collection decked head to toe in 6000 pearls. Pearls – like those in this Noir Furniture chandelier – add a bit of Hollywood Glamour to every interior.

Jewel tones were a trend on the red carpet. Scarlett Johansson dazzled in emerald Versace and Best Actor Winner, Eddie Redmayne rocked a royal blue Alexander McQueen suit.

Worlds Away makes elegant use of jewel tones in their lacquer and gold leaf pieces perfect for an upscale, eclectic interior.

Oscar nominee, Emma Stone topped many best dressed lists in Ellie Saab. Only the most sophisticated of aesthetics can make limes and chartruse work–like this modern accent chair from Sunpan Modern Home!

And of course we always love reds on the red carpet! Some of this year’s Oscar looks were most certainly inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year like Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike stunning in Givenchy Haute Couture, Lady Gaga’s funky gloves paired with her Azzedine Alaia gown, or David Oyelowo’s show-stopping Dolce & Gabbana suit!

Design Inspiration can really come from anywhere!
