Dinner plates as art?

Yep, such an easy DIY art statement. The look and arrangements of the plates are what defines the style. There are so many different looks you can achieve with this out-of-the-box idea. And for a fraction of the cost of what it would be to buy a huge piece of art or two to fill a blank space. It would be such a fun “memory wall” to start collecting plates from vacations or special events throughout your life. That way, every time you look your stairwell or your hallway, each plate reminds you of a time in your life. Much more meaningful that that $499 printed canvas you bought at Pottery Barn, right? Take a look at some interesting dish wall installations.

Do a large sweeping grouping of bold, differently colored, and eclectic-ly positioned plates for a more mod look:

Or do a smaller, delicate, more closely contained grouping for a romantic feel:

Use all one color or variations of a color to add an accent feature to any wall:
