This year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House, one of the most prestigious interior design events in the entire country, had our jaws dropping from the moment we stepped into the dignified Villard Houses. Comprised of 6 townhouses modeled after the Cancelleria in Rome, the mansion’s intricate interior architecture majestically set the tone for the 20+ stunning designs each of the designers achieved, each equally as sensational as the next.

On Tuesday, we got a sneak peek at the show house, and saw three strong trends there–metallics with grey, abstraction and ethnic themes. Check out our favorite rooms & how to get the look:
