Another way to incorporate this animal print is by texture. At HighPoint’s Spring furniture market, Shagreen was huge! For those of you who aren’t familiar with shagreen, it typically refers to the skin of rays, sharks or dogfish, all of which are cartilaginous fish with a smoothly pebbled texture. The material is often dyed a variety of colors, and used to wrap furniture and accessories. Because it’s not man-made and is available in limited supply, pieces that incorporate this trend are often much pricier.
